Vinten | Crab and steer facility

Crab and steer functionality is the optimum solution for on-shot movement and general positioning of pedestals.

In crab mode all three wheels are interlinked to steer simultaneously and the pedestal travels in the direction of the steering indicator on the steering ring. This allows the operator to easily follow the action on-shot, tracking in and out and crabbing from side to side with minimal effort.

Steer mode locks the position of two wheels and then the third wheel turns as the steering ring is rotated. This enables the operator to set the pedestal position prior to a shoot, or to negotiate awkward obstacles.
