As well as having great products, Vinten needs great post-sales service if it is really going to meet the needs of professional users. Mike Dowson, Global Head of Service, explains:
“The EMEA service programme is run from our factory in Bury St Edmunds, supported by service centres in France, Germany, Singapore and Japan. For the Americas, our sefrvice teams are based in both east and west coast USA. The result is can provide 24 hour support and advice.
For even more local support, our distributors also carry out service work. Many employ skilled engineers, who are fully trained by us, so they can carry out repairs to our high standards. As full partners in our service programme, it means certified service is even closer to you, wherever they are.
Each service centre, as well as carrying over 1,000 spares needed to effect repairs quickly and accurately, also hold loan equipment. We appreciate that our users rely on Vinten supports day in, day out, and we want to keep them on air if we possibly can.
That sense of being close to our users is extremely important. Feedback from service helps us refine our designs and ultimately make better products. Our goal is to respond to issues before they become an issue.”
